Over
the last several years, Philip Hopper has written eight books documenting
the history of Anchor Hocking glass making. With a commitment to
see that his extensive collection of glass is preserved for everyone to
enjoy, he financed and built the Anchor Hocking Glass Museum. The
museum was begun on January 1, 2000, and construction continued for over
two and a half years. Finally, on October 1, 2002, the Anchor Hocking
Glass Museum was officially opened.
The museum is located on the east side
of San Antonio, TX, near the small town of China Grove. Presently,
there are approximately 6,000 pieces and 250 boxed sets of Anchor Hocking
glass on display.
The museum is open nights and weekends
by appointment only. If you have any questions or would like to schedule
a tour, call (210) 648-5585 and ask for Barb or Phil. Or use the
